Any Age – Worrying Symptoms? Talk to your GP

We talk a lot about screening ages. 58. 55. 50. 45. The numbers matter – and we’ll keep pushing to lower them.

But here’s what matters more: if your body is telling you something right now, no number on a government programme is relevant. Symptoms don’t wait for policy to catch up.

Blood on the toilet roll. A persistent change in how your bowel works. Bloating that won’t shift. Unexplained weight loss. Pain you’ve been explaining away.

If any of that sounds familiar, pick up the phone today. Make a GP appointment. Tell them your symptoms. Ask about a FIT test – you may need to pay for it privately, but it exists, it works, and it could save your life.

Bowel cancer at 28. At 35. At 41. We hear from these people. They are real. They were told they were too young to worry. Some of them wish someone had worried sooner.

There is no age too young for bowel cancer. So talk to your GP.
